Since Divination, the NBA has its own Set like football: a board of levels to clear with your cards, against the game rather than other managers. The rules look like football’s, with two big differences: positions are free and stars are capped.
Five players, any position
A team has 5 players. Guards, forwards and centers fit in every spot: you can field five guards if you like. Only NBA games count, and there is no captain.
The 16-star cap
Each player has a number of stars, in half-star steps, based on their level: from 1 star for a bench player to 4 or 5 for a star. The total stars of your 5 players must not exceed 16.
A player’s cost is frozen when their games open: it can differ from their current level. To field one or two stars, you need to fill the team with cheaper but consistent players.
Levels and bonuses
- Six levels, from 150 to 300 points in the first Divination chapter: 150, 180, 210, 240, 280, then 300.
- Up to 4 teams per level.
- Edition bonuses are the same as in football: Shiny +5%, Holo +10%, Shiny Four Suits +15%, Holo Eclipse +20%, Legendary +30%.
- No collection bonus: completing a franchise doesn’t raise its players’ scores.
Games almost every night
The NBA plays almost every night, often late at night European time. Sorare Tools reads the games straight from your board: you always see the ones that count, day by day.
The NBA Set on Sorare Tools
- The 🏀 button at the top of the page switches the whole site to NBA, and ⚽ takes you back to football.
- Build my teams: the optimizer suggests up to 4 teams with no shared card, always under 16 stars, with their chances of hitting the target. When you swap a card by hand, the ones that would break the cap are greyed out.
- Player profile: their stars, their next game with the Sorare projection, and their points, rebounds and assists over their last 15 games.
- Friends, Gallery and Leaderboards: like in football, with your NBA board data. The Squad only exists in football for now.
